We recommend staying at Peckforton Castle, where both the wedding ceremony and reception will be.

Peckforton Castle
Stone House Lane, Cheshire
Tarporley CW6 9TN
United Kingdom

We have reserved a block of rooms at the castle for the night of the wedding. Use booking code GA05706 to book online, or call +44 1829 260930. We strongly recommend booking as soon as possible since the number of rooms is limited.

There is plenty of parking on site.

There is also a “lodge” on the castle grounds that would be great for a group, with 4 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, and its own kitchen and living rooms.

There are also plenty of other hotel options nearby
(though we do not have room blocks at these, all are within 15 minutes’ drive of the castle).

If you do stay at a hotel other than the castle, please keep in mind that rideshares are not a reliable option in the area, and the Castle strongly recommends pre-booking taxis before arrival, as it can be difficult to book them the day of. The reception desk can provide a list of local taxi companies.

air & Train Travel

For those traveling internationally, we recommend flying into Manchester International Airport, and then either renting a car or hiring a taxi to the castle (approx. 45 mins away).

If you've flown in from another airport in the uk, you can get to chester by train, then take a taxi from chester to the castle.

Ana and Lewis met through their mutual friend Caleb at a party in downtown Detroit in December 2020. Lewis knew Caleb through the Detroit Rugby Football Club. Ana knew Caleb from the Grand Circus Dog Park, also in Detroit, where their dogs were frequent visitors.

Caleb invited Lewis to a party attended by fellow dog park parents, since Lewis happened to be in the neighborhood that evening. Shortly after his arrival, Ana questioned Lewis as to why he was there without a dog, who invited him, who he knew there, etc. Somehow, Lewis found this interrogation charming, and he later asked for Ana’s phone number. The rest is history!

Lewis and Ana got engaged in Amsterdam in May 2024, shortly before their visit to Lewis' hometown of Manchester, UK. It was Lewis’ first visit back home in 10 years! Surprising his extended family in person with their happy news, and sharing this joy all together, made it a beautiful and memorable time for both of them. They had so much fun that they decided to get married in the UK so everyone could get all together again, and here we are!

Of course, never ones to say no to an excuse to throw a party, Ana and Lewis will also be celebrating back home in the U.S.: with Ana's family for a traditional Serbian Orthodox church ceremony (the same church where Ana's parents were married in 1989), and then with their friends in Detroit.

Along with many walking/hiking trails outside the castle itself, there is so much you can do and see nearby:

Chester is about 30 minutes' drive from the castle
and is a popular tourist destination due to its long history
(it's been around since the Romans were).

Liverpool is about an hour's drive from the castle. Aside from
lots of Beatles-related activities, the waterfront and art museum
are also popular attractions.

Wrexham fans will be overjoyed to know that the castle
is only 30 minutes from Wrexham!

For hiking, boating, camping, etc, the famed Lake District
is about two hours away from Cheshire.

Manchester is known for its live music and the number of world-class acts it has produced. See if your trip coincides with a concert!

It's also very easy to get to Scotland or Southern England by train, Ireland by ferry or plane, and Europe by plane,
all from the Manchester area.
